Abstract
This Law regulates the organization of state supervision of public health, establishing general requirements for public health, the rights and obligations of individuals and legal entities, the organization of the system of state supervision of public health. The purpose of this law is to ensure optimal conditions for maximizing the health potential of each individual throughout life by means of organized efforts of the society to prevent diseases, protect and promote public health, and improve the quality of life. State control in the field of public health - activities carried out by the competent public health oversight body within the framework of supervision to prevent, detect and eliminate violations of sanitary legislation by individuals and legal entities. Health risk assessment - an assessment of risk factors related to environment, life, work and rest factors and conditioned by individual and collective lifestyle that affect the health status of the population. The main principles of the state policy in the field of public health shall be as follows: (a) the provision by the state of supervision over public health by coordinating and monitoring the efforts of society in this area; (b) ensuring equitable access to public health services for all citizens of the country; (c) responsibility of the individual and society as a whole for public health; and (d) supervision over hygienic conditions in public places, recreational areas and service facilities. Supervision over foodstuffs shall be performed in accordance with the spheres of competence envisaged by acting legislation. New foodstuffs and food additives, except for those containing only vitamins and minerals, shall be subject to mandatory state registration.
