Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the specific requirements as regards the control over the presence of Trichinella in meat (any nematode belonging to the species of genus Trichinella).
These provisions apply to test methods used for the verification of the effective presence of Trichinella in meat; to the treatment of the Food Agency and veterinary and food operators, engaged in granting and/or revoking of the health status certification; veterinary-sanitary conditions for import of meat, including the conducting official controls and monitoring over the presence of trichinosis in general.
This Regulation further harmonizes the national legislation with the provisions contained in the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/1375 of 10 August 2015 laying down specific rules on official controls for Trichinella in meat.
The Annex is part of this publication (list of reference methods for diagnosis; sampling and analysis technical sheets).

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the day after its publication in the Official Gazette (published on 29 March 2016), and it will apply from 1 July 2016.
Notes
The provisions of this Regulation shall be no longer in force on the date of accession of the Republic of North Macedonia in the European Union.
