Abstract
The Act aims to ensure an intention-related and biologically acceptable exploitation of fishing and hunting resources in Greenland land and fishing. It applies to the requirement of a valid licence which is granted to individuals having tax-status in Greenland for the past 2 years. Hunting areas and seasonal periods are enforced for conservation purposes; total allowable catch is defined according to animal species which must be registered; these may also be used for research and statistic purposes and inspection thereof may take place at all times to ensure correct observation of rules.
It consists of 8 Chapters: Scope and purpose (1); Access to fishing and hunting in Greenland agricultural and fishing territory (2); Conservation and technical conservation measures (3); Fishing and hunting biological studies (4); Statistics (5); Supervision (6); Sanctions (7); Entry into force and transitional provisions (8).

The Act enters into force on 1 January 1985.
Notes
Act No. 4 of 14 October 1980 on commercial fishing and hunting, Act No. 110 of 28 March 1984 on commercial fishing and hunting on Greenland fishery and land territory shall be repealed on 1 January 1985.
