Abstract
The scope of this Decree is to regulate the fishing for shrimps having special regard to the sustainability of fishing efforts. Without a permit of the Director of Fisheries it shall be prohibited to fish for shrimps north of the 62nd parallel with vessels with a length in excess of 65 feet or a gross registered tonnage of 50 or more. These limits may be changed by the Director of Fisheries in view of the new measurement rules of June 1982 (Decree No. 1044). The permit is valid for a specific vessel or a specific owner of a vessel (sect. 4). Section 12 provides for the transfer of permits from one vessel to another. (17 sections)
