Abstract
The Decree prohibits fishing by vessels flying the flag of Norway in fishery zones of Greenland (ICES areas Va, XII and XIV and NAFO subarea 1) in 2001. However quotas of halibut (200 tons), Greenland halibut (1.520 tons), and some other bottom species may be caught in fishing areas of West Greenland. Quotas of halibut (593 tons), Greenland halibut (1.355 tons), cod (700 tons), red fish (1.200 tons) and some other bottom species may be caught in fishing areas of East Greenland. Other provisions deal with report to the Director of Fisheries (art. 5), compulsory sailing dates to be established by the Directorate of Fisheries (art. 6), redistribution of quotas (art. 7), a stop on fishing (art. 8), and offences and penalties (art. 9).
