Abstract
The aim of this Decree is to lay down measures for the prevention of spreading of BSE among livestock. The Decree prohibits use of animal waste specified in article 4 for use in feed for the raising of animals for commercial purposes. Waste includes waste of any animal, including fish but excluding shellfish, which is raised for commercial purposes except those slaughtered for consumption purposes, waste of animals subjected to measures by State veterinary services, animals slaughtered in connection with fighting of diseases, etc. Supervision over and control of commercial livestock breeding for purposes of the present Decree is entrusted to the State veterinary Service and district veterinaries.
