Abstract
This Decree applies to Norwegian and foreign fishing vessels of any type in an area North-east of a straight line from the 72° 10,46 North; 10° 18,42 East to Djarupkeret 70° 40,5 North; 21° 59,1 East. It completely prohibits the fishing for young Norwegian herring in these areas, except in areas indicated in article from 1 October 2001 onwards. Infringement, caused by either intentional or negligent behaviour, shall be punished in accordance with section 53 of Sea Fisheries Act of 1983.
