Abstract
It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land blue whiting in 2015. Notwithstanding the prohibition, Norwegian vessels are authorized to engage in fishing and landing 498 173 tons of blue whiting in Norwegian territorial waters and economic zone, fishery zone around Jan Mayen, the fisheries protection zone around Svalbard and in international waters. Of this quantity deposited 30 tons is allocated for research and educational purposes. Of the total quota, it is allowed to catch up to 102 605 tons fished in EU waters in ICES statistical areas II, IVa, VIa north of 56° N, VIb and VII west of 12° W. And up to 40 000 tons fished in EU waters in ICES statistical area IVa. Of the total quota, up to 80 000 tons may be fished in Faroese zone.
