Abstract
The present Act lays down provisions relating to marine fisheries and concerning: (1) granting, withdrawing and suspending rights to marine fisheries; (2) rational implementation of marine fisheries, including protection of living marine resources; (3) supervision of conducting marine fisheries and the unloading and reloading of marine organisms. This Act applies to: (1) owners and captains of Polish fishing vessels in maritime zones of the Republic of Poland or outside these zones; (2) owners and captains of foreign fishing vessels engaged in commercial fishing in the exclusive economic zone; (3) captains of foreign fishing vessels bringing fresh or processed marine organisms to maritime zones of the Republic of Poland; (4) natural persons fishing in maritime zones of the Republic of Poland. The text consists of six sections as follows: General provisions (1); Commercial fishing (2); Non-commercial fishing (3); Administrative organs of maritime fisheries (4); Monetary fines (5); Amendments to the existing legislation, final and transitional provisions (6).
