Abstract
This Regulation lays down rules governing aquaculture practices in relation to alien and locally absent species in order to assess and minimize the possible impact of non-target species on aquatic habitats. The provisions concern the introduction and translocation of such species, for which a permit from the competent authority of the receiving Member State shall be required. Member States must keep a register of introductions and translocations.
