Abstract
The Act is composed of nine Sections and three Annexes. The Sections are: General provisions (sect. 1); Registration of varieties (sect. 2); The Central Centre of Examination of Cultivated Plant Varieties (sect. 3); Production and evaluation of seed material (sect. 4); Turnover of seed material (sect. 5); Import of seed material from third countries (sect. 6); Control of seed material and sanction fees (sect. 7); Criminal provisions (sect. 8); Changing, transitional and final provisions (sect. 9). The Act concerns: registration of cultivated plan varieties, specified in Annex 1, and other cultivated plant varieties which seed material will be used for purification of varieties specified in this Annex; production, evaluation, turnover and control of seed material of varieties specified above and varieties used as decorative plants. Annex 2 contains the list of varieties which may be registered if they are distinct, compensated and durable, and have a satisfactory economic value. Annex 3 contains the list of vegetable and fruit plants which should be economically evaluated after registration.
