Abstract
This Decree-Law amends the Environmental Fund and the organisation of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment. In particular, it establishes: a) The second amendment to Decree-Law No. 54/2014 of 9 April, amended by Decree-Law No. 153/2015 of 7 June, which approves the organization of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment; b) The third amendment to Decree-Law No. 42-A/2016 of 12 August, amended by Decree-Laws No. 84/2019, of 28 June, and No. 102-D/2020 of 10 December, which creates the Environmental Fund; c) The first amendment to Decree-Law No. 12/2020 of 6 April, which establishes the legal regime applicable to greenhouse gas emission allowance trading, transposing Directive (EU) 2018/410; d) The extinction of the Permanent Forest Fund, the Innovation Support Fund, the Energy Efficiency Fund and the Fund for the Systemic Sustainability of the Energy Sector, created by Decree-Law No. 63/2004 of 22 March, amended by Law No. 82-D/2014, of 31 December, by Order No. 32276-A/2008.
