This Decree amends Decree No. 43/87 defining national measures for the conservation of living resources applicable to fishing activities. It consists of 5 articles and 1 annex the aim of which is: to define the aforementioned national measures within the waters under Portuguese jurisdiction and to establish fishing areas and relevant requirements to perform fishing activity (regulating licensing and fishing gear use). Annex specifies fishing restrictions to be observed such as: size, mesh, authorized fishing gear, coastal fishing vessel requirements, etc.
