Abstract
This Law establishes the fifth amendment by republishing the National Forest Fires Protection System (SDFCI) established by Decree-Law No. 124/2006. Amendments deal with new forest protecting measures and actions to be carried out for the prevention and management of forest fires. In addition, they amend forest fire prevention planning activities, competent authorities at local and national level, administrative and legal proceedings, monitoring zoning of the vulnerable areas, organizational framework for forestry planning, regulating fire control and monitoring activities as well as relevant sanctions. A Table provides the requirements for fuel management in the context of secondary fuel management networks.
