Governmental Order No. 631-r validating the List of living and traditional economic activities of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation.

This Governmental Order validates the List of places of traditional residence of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation and the List of types of traditional economic activities of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation. The List of traditional economic activities of indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation include: (a) livestock breeding, including nomadic (reindeer, horse, yak breeding, sheep breeding); (b) processing of livestock products, including collection, procurement and dressing of skins, wool, hair, ossified horns, hooves, antlers, bones, endocrine glands, meat, offal; (c) dog breeding (breeding of reindeer herding, sled and hunting dogs); (d) breeding of wild fauna species, processing and sale of products of fur farming; (e) horticulture, beekeeping; (f) fishing (including marine hunting) and trade of aquatic biological resources; (g) commercial hunting, processing and trade of hunting of wildlife products; (h) agriculture (horticulture), as well as breeding and processing of medicinal plants; (i) harvesting of timber and non-timber forest resources for own needs; (j) collection (procurement, processing and trade of alimentary forest resources, collection of medicinal plants); (k) extraction and processing of common widespread minerals for their own needs; (l) arts and crafts (blacksmith and iron craft, making utensils, implements, boats, sleds, other traditional means of transportation, musical instruments, birch bark products, stuffed animals and birds, fur souvenirs, deer and game animals and birds, other materials, weaving from herbs and other plants, knitting of nets, bone carving, wood carving, sewing national dress and other types of crafts and crafts related to processing of fur, leather, bone and other materials); and (m) construction of national traditional dwellings and others buildings necessary for the implementation of traditional economic activities.
