Ministerial Decree No. 1303 validating the Regulation on the safety of waterworks.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that waterworks that have the potential to cause disasters must be declared safe in the process of their planning, construction, operation, reconstruction, maintenance and conservation. A declaration of safety for waterworks shall be the basic certificate attesting to their safety and compliance with technical norms and standards. The following criteria shall be assessed to arrive at a declaration of safety: (a) completeness and reliability of data on waterworks and their safety; (b) detailed and complete risk assessment and evaluation; (c) consideration of all factors that have an impact on waterworks safety; and (d) efficiency and adequacy of the planned safety requirements.
