Abstract
This Ministerial Decree stipulates that the Federal Fisheries Agency shall be the official institution in charge of fisheries. The Agency shall have the following plenary powers: (a) calculation of damage caused to aquatic biological resources; (b) validation of live biological resources of the continental shelf; (c) acclimatization of aquatic biological resources; (d) validation of fisheries regulations for each basin; (e) organization of community fisheries management; (f) distribution of quotas; and (g) validation of permissible types of fishing vessels, gear and methods.
