Abstract
The purpose of this Decree is to toughen control of imported commodities because many of them do not meet sanitary requirements and present serious danger to life and health of the Russian nationals. This document deals in particular with the issues of certification and labelling in Russian of imported foodstuff and obliges to provide information as regards its composition, expiry date, and conditions of storage and use of the product. This Decree envisages more severe civil and penal liability for import and internal trade of spoiled and injurious to health commodities.
