Regional Decree No. 224 “On restriction of spring hunting for the period of 2020.”

This Regional Decree, in order to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection caused by COVID-19, decrees to prohibit spring hunting for waterfowl and upland game in the regional hunting grounds during spring hunting season 2020, except for protected areas of federal significance. The aforesaid restrictions shall not be applicable to the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation living in the regional territory, and persons not belonging to the indigenous peoples, but permanently residing in places of their traditional residence and traditional economic activity, for which hunting is the basis of subsistence.
