Regulation on artisanal and sport fishing.

The present Regulation establishes the common procedures of artisanal and sport fishing by the Russian nationals, stateless persons and foreigners. All citizens are authorized to undertake artisanal and sport fishing for proper consumption in all water bodies with the observance of fisheries regulations and legislation currently in force. Artisanal and sport fishing in the water bodies of protected fishing areas shall be authorized with the consideration of the provisions regarding specific protected fishing area and the present Regulation. Artisanal and sport fishing in the fish farming water bodies allotted for artisanal and sport fishing assigned to legal and natural persons shall be carried out in conformity with fishing licence on charged basis or free of charge. Citizens staying by water bodies and water protection zones and carrying out artisanal and sport fishing must observe the present Regulation, show at the request of fishing inspectors documents confirming preferential terms of fishing, to have with them fishing authorization (single fishing licence) in case of fishing at licensed fishing areas and in case of catch of aquatic biological resources for which quotas have been set, and produce for inspection by fishing inspectors fishing gear and catch. The present Regulation is applicable either to inland fisheries or to marine fisheries.
