Ministerial Decree No. 852 regulating hunting seasons, hunting gear and hunting methods.

The government of the Russian Federation, in order to put into practice the Federal Law on wildlife, confirms the Regulation on seasons of hunting, hunting gear and hunting methods of the wildlife species which belong to the sphere of competence of the Federal government. That Regulation applies to endangered species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation in accordance with the list of endangered species composed by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, the Federal Fisheries Committee of Russia and the Federal Forestry Service of Russia. As for wildlife species of the territorial waters, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation, such lists are prepared by the Federal Fisheries Committee of Russia in accordance with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. The local administrations are responsible for regulating seasons of hunting, hunting gear and hunting methods which are not mentioned in the 1st paragraph of the present Decree. The Decree is composed of 3 paragraphs.
