Abstract
This Ordinance partly amends Appendix 1 of Decree No. 1716 (Sanction fees to be implemented according to article 50a of the Fisheries Act). Sanction fee is equivalent to 2 000 SEK. In particular the sanction charges for fishing by vessels measuring max. 12 meters (5 000 SEK), for fishing vessels measuring more than 12 meters (10 0000 SEK); and for fishing vessels measuring more than 24 meters (25 000 SEK). These sanction fees shall be paid as a penalty for non-compliance of article 1 of EU regulation 1292/97, and article 1 of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 728/1999 of 7 April 1999 in accordance with Article 7.3 of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2847/93, for a notification period for Community fishing vessels operating in the Baltic Sea, Skagerrak and Kattegat. Duty of notification subject to sanctions for non-compliance includes permit for accessing ports and landing of catch. Implementation of sanctions are referred to EU regulations (art. 4-5, 7 of this document) in relation to access to resources and control of fishing areas.
