Decree (1994:1716) relative to fishing, use waters and fish culture.

This Decree lays down rules relative to fishing and fish culture in waters of the Swedish territorial sea and the exclusive economic zone of Sweden and fishing by Swedish vessels outside of Swedish waters. It also contains provisions concerning structural matters of the fisheries sector and market arrangements. It carries into effect in Sweden Community legislation relative to a common fisheries policy.
The Decree defines fishing rights of Swedish citizens and foreigners, prescribes and prohibits methods of fishing, provides for regulation-making powers of the Fisheries Agency, regulates the fishing for crayfish and provides for the prevention of crayfish-related diseases, regulates use of gear for non-commercial fishing, provides rules for the marking of fishing gear, provides for the granting of fishing licences, provides for control and enforcement and provides for various other matters and regulation-making powers regarding the fisheries sector and marketing arrangements for fish and fish products.
