Abstract
This Decree of this Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 13 articles, lays down provisions to implement Council Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009 on the protection of animals at the time of killing. The authority responsible for the implementation of Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009 and official supervision of the implementation is the Department for Food Safety, Veterinary and Plant Protection. The present Decree lays down also competences for organizing training of personnel in slaughterhouses and offenses for violation of the provisions specified in Regulation (EC) No. 1099/2009.
