Abstract
This Law defines the organizational, legal and economic grounds for the activities of business entities in the poultry sector and is aimed at developing the poultry sector and providing the country's consumer market with poultry products. Activities in the poultry sector are based on the following principles: (a) the formation of a sustainable system for providing the population with poultry products; (b) priority of consumer rights; (c) efficiency and free competition in the production and trade of poultry products; (d) transparency of performance accounting and reporting; (e) use of modern technology for the production of poultry products; (f) predictability and planning of production and trade of poultry products; and (g) ensuring compliance with standards and technical regulations for the safety of manufactured poultry products. State regulation of the poultry sector is carried out by the following methods: (a) adoption of normative legal acts; (b) state control of production and trade of poultry products; (c) state support of economic entities of the sector, including financing the development of the industry; and (d) establishment of antimonopoly requirements for the turnover of poultry products. State support for the poultry sector is carried out in the following areas: (a) attraction of investments for the creation of enterprises of the poultry industry, production and sale of products of the industry; (b) providing access to machinery and modern technology for breeding all types of poultry; (c) introduction of a mechanism for financing scientific research of scientific institutions in determining breeds, creating new crosses of poultry, improving the useful qualities of existing breeds and strengthening the base for the production of poultry foodstuffs from domestic sources; (d) development of the infrastructure for the market of poultry products and provision of information on the volume of production and its trade; and (e) other forms of support not prohibited by the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan. This Law consists of IV Sections divided into 17 Articles. Section I lays down general provisions. Section II regards regulation and state support of poultry sector. Section III classifies activities in poultry sector. Section IV lays down final provisions.
