Notification No. 2012/66 regarding amateur fishing.

This Notification sets forth the procedures and principles of amateur fishing with small tools in non-prohibited areas for non-commercial purposes and sport, from 01/09/2012 to 31/08/2016. The Notification lists out the species that may be caught in maritime and inland waters and sets forth related fishing seasons. It also specifies those maritime and inland waters where amateur fishing is completely or partially prohibited. Further provisions deal with the issue of fishing licenses to Turkish citizens involved in non-commercial fishing. Foreigners residing in Turkey may be granted as a Guest Amateur Fisherman License.
