Notification No. 2021/26 on fishing vessel monitoring system.

This Notification lays down provisions to monitor the navigational information of fishing vessels such as identity, location, time, speed, direction and fishing activity data via GSM, satellite and other communication tools, to record and evaluate them in the digital environment, and to detect and control the violations of related rules. This Notification sets forth provisions on the installation of vessel monitoring devices to be installed on vessels which are above 12 meters, licensed by the Ministry and engaged in commercial fisheries, their operation and use of these devices, the storage and evaluation of records on fishing activities, and the obligations of the fishing vessel officer in these matters.
