Abstract
This Notification lays down provisions on the approval of the control certificate required for the import of breeding and non-breeding animals, cattle, sheep and goats, poultry, equidae, bees and other animals and breeding products, the required documents, and the issuance of a veterinary health certificate and its validation period. Article 5 lists the documents to be submitted for the approval of the control certificate required for the import of animals and reproductive products, including but not limited to: CITES documents for animals under the scope of CITES, ICCAT Tuna Catch Document and ICCAT Statistics/Reexport Document. Article 7 determines the situations that restrict the approval of the control document, such as rejection of the application for control certificate for the import of animals and reproductive products from a country or part of a country with restrictions relating to animal diseases. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry may take additional measures in control certificate regulations in order to protect domestic genetic resources or regarding issues such as the productivity and quality elements of the animals and reproductive products to be imported.
