Notification No. 2023/51 on supporting agricultural investments within the scope of rural development.

This Notification supports investments involving new technology within the scope of rural development taking into account the protection of natural resources and the environment. The purposes of these investments are: (I) to increase the income level in rural areas, (II) to support family businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises to ensure the integration of agricultural production and agriculture-based industry, (III) to develop agricultural marketing infrastructure, (IV) to ensure retrospective traceability, (V) to strengthen food safety, (VI) to create alternative income sources in rural areas, (VII) to strengthen rural economic infrastructure, (VIII) to encourage producers to use new technologies developed for agricultural activities, (IX) to increase the effectiveness of ongoing rural development activities, and (X) to build local development capacity in rural society. This Notification provides for grant payments for investments in agriculture-based economic and rural economic infrastructure activities of agricultural producers and businesses, with priority given to producer organizations, women and young entrepreneurs. The areas of investment are as follows: a) processing, handling, packaging and storage of agricultural and fishery products, b) agricultural production, including investments regarding closed plant production, animal production, animal slaughtering, c) utilization of renewable energy resources related to the subjects within the scope of this Notification, (d) aquaculture, (e) processing, packaging and storage of fertilizers of animal and plant origin, and f) family farming.
