Abstract
This Notification lays down the procedures and principles of amateur fishing for non-commercial and recreational purposes, with the fishing gears permitted to be used, and certain rules for amateur fishing between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2028. It sets out provisions on amateur fishing for domestic and foreign fishers in inland waters and at sea; amateur fishing permit; protected species; feeder fish; prohibited activities; ecologically dangerous freshwater and marine fishes; minimum sizes of freshwater and marine fishes; time and area restrictions; and administrative sanctions. This Notification prohibits to sell, transport alive or release of fishery products caught through amateur fishing.
