Abstract
This Notification amends the purpose of the Principal Notification in Article 1, as “This Notification aims at monitoring fishing vessels through GPS and satellite-based systems to provide information about cruising, as well as, fishing activities and catch, and registering the information in digital environment. To this end, fishing vessels will be monitored through a system called BAGIS including equipment and electronic logbook installed in fishing vessels and all information will be transferred to the Ministry. This Notification amends Article 5 regarding the obligation of installation of BAGIS to fishing vessels which are 12 meters and above. Moreover, this Notification amends Article 6 regarding the responsibility to keep BAGIS ın-service during cruising, Article 8 regarding removal of BAGIS in case fishing vessel excluded from the fleet, and Article 10 regarding administrative fines.
