Abstract
The purposes of this Decree are: (i) developing and ensuring sustainability of the country's animal husbandry; (ii) increasing the effectiveness in the implementation of animal husbandry policies; (iii) contributing to production planning; (iv) encouraging domestic production; (v) increasing production, efficiency and quality; (vi) protecting and developing animal genetic resources. This Decree determines issues related to supporting animal production, aquaculture, agricultural research and development covering the period between 2024 and 2026. The scope of state support for animal husbandry include: cattle, buffalo, sheep and goat farming; waste management; apiculture; sericulture, and the scope of state support for product development include: raw milk, selling dairy products through agricultural cooperatives, carcass, angora breeding. Article 3 lays down rules concerning the state support for aquaculture and small scale fisheries. Article 4 provides for state support for agricultural research and development to ensure the protection and development of animal genetic resources.

Entry into force notes
Subparagraph 2 of Article 2 regarding raw milk support and subparagraph 2 of Article 3 regarding support for small scale fisheries shall enter into force on 1 January 2025, other provisions enter into force as of 1 January 2024.

The provisions of this Decree are enforced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
