Abstract
The objective of this Regulation is to define the principles for classifying, labelling and packaging, producting, storing and transportating; importating and exportating; monitoring and inspecting hazardous chemicals. Hazardous materials and products have to be stored in appropriate packaging. Individuals and companies involved in the production or importation of hazardous materials listed in the text are obliged to obtain a certificate from the Ministry of Environment indicating that they have fulfilled their obligations regarding packaging, storing and transporting. Distributors are not allowed to modify the nature of hazardous chemicals and materials or to change the labelling. Labelling details are given in the Regulation and all labels shall contain all of the information provided, and apply all the physical features imposed. Details on usage restrictions, labelling and packaging of material containing asbestos are given in the text.
