Abstract
This Regulation sets forth the principles and procedures on the official controls of products subject to veterinary checks at their entrance to the country. The Regulation covers provisions on certificates of veterinary checks, veterinary check points and training programs for the personnel. The Regulation further covers provisions on the import, transit, entrance and exit to customs warehouse of these products. The Regulation also defines rules and procedures to be applied in case of nonconformity or irregularity. This Regulation is drafted in accordance with the European Council Directive No 97/78/EC laying down the principles governing the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from third countries.
