Abstract
This Act shall apply in relation to all criminal prosecutions and the coordination of investigation of crimes in Mainland Tanzania. It establishes the National Prosecutions Service and grants powers to the Director of the Service to appoint public prosecutors. The Act also provides for appointment of state attorneys. It makes consequential amendments to, among others, the Marine Park Reserves Act, the Beekeeping Act, the Dairy Industry Act the National Parks Act, Wildlife Conservation Act, the Ngorongoro Conservation Act, the Forests Act and the Public Health (Sewerage and Drainage) Act.
