Decision 2227/ QD-BNN-KH promulgating the Action Plan of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement Resolution No. 34/NQ-CP dated March 25, 2021 of the Government on "Ensuring national food security by 2030".

This Action Plan of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is formulated to implement government strategies that guarantee national food security until 2030, in line with sustainable agricultural development.
The Action Plan has set up the main tasks by 2030: 1. Public Awareness and Education: Various campaigns to raise awareness of food security among ministries and local agricultural departments; 2. Policy Enhancement: Review and improve policies related to land use, food safety, and agricultural production, including support for rice farmers and food producers; 3. Production and Supply: Create long-term plans for food production to ensure a stable food supply, with a focus on sustainable practices and the development of food processing industries; 4. Infrastructure Development: Investment in agricultural infrastructure, such as irrigation and mechanization, to support food production; 5. Food Access: Develop information systems to ensure effective monitoring and management of food supply, production, and distribution nationwide; 6. Human Resource Development: Training managers, researchers, farmers, and cooperative members to meet the demands of food production.
In addition, the Action Plan emphasizes Vietnam's commitment to enhancing international cooperation in food security, including negotiating trade agreements and collaborating with international organizations on agricultural standards and sustainable food systems.
