Law No. 76/2015/QH13 on Government Organization.

This Law on Government Organization is enacted pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Law makes provisions for: position and functions of the Government, organizational structure and members of the Government, principles of organization and operation of the Government, duties and powers of the Government, etc.
Article 9 provides for the duties and powers of the Government to manage natural resources, environment, and respond to climate change. Article 14 provides for duties and powers of the Government to manage healthcare, and take care of the people’s health and population. Article 15 provides for the duties and powers of the Government to implement social policies, including developing the social security system. Article 16 provides for the duties and powers of the Government in ethnicity affairs, including formulating specific policies aimed at promoting the equity. Article 25 provides for the duties and powers of the Government in local governments.
