Abstract
This Law provides for the protection and management of dikes.
Dikes shall be classified into river dikes, sea dikes, river-mouth dikes, auxiliary dikes, surrounding dikes and special-use dikes. The Law lays down principles and grounds for the elaboration of anti-flood plans of river basins and dike plans, and for the investment in dike construction, repair, upgrading and solidification. Further provisions include: the protection and use of dikes; dike maintenance; dike state management responsibilities; and inspection and handling of violations.
