First Global Meeting of National Focal Points (In-person (hybrid) segment)

About the meeting Side Events Meeting documents

Welcome to the official page of the in-person (hybrid) segment of the First Global Meeting of National Focal Points under the Fifth Programme for the Development and Periodic Review of Environmental Law.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the First Global Meeting of National Focal Points was divided into two segments. The first session was held online from 2 to 4 June 2021. More information about the segment and its outcomes, including its documents, is available here.

The second segment of the First Global Meeting will be held in a hybrid format from 6 - 9 June 2022 at the United United Nations Office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Please do not hesitate to write to us at unep-montevideo@un.org should you have any questions.

Seven side events will take place during the in-person (hybrid) segment of the First Global Meeting of National Focal Points.

After receiving a large number of submissions in response to its call for proposals, the secretariat of the Montevideo Programme V selected a limited number of side events that will optimally showcase the key priority areas proposed for the Montevideo Programme V (four side events) and cross-cutting activities (three side events).

Side events will be held from 7 to 9 June 2022 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

For more information about the side events, please see the table below and visit the side events page:
