Abstract
This Law aims at improving public health and ensuring a high level of environmental protection through integrating ambient air quality issues in other policies as well as establishing requirements on its monitoring, assessment and planning and promoting international cooperation to this end.
The Law consists of 6 Chapters: General provisions (I); Environmental air quality (II); Air emissions (III); Transboundary air pollution (IV); Offences (V); Transitional provisions (VI).
This Law fully complies with Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe.
