Law on food (Republic of Srpska).

This Law here regulates the general conditions for the safety of food and feed, the obligations and responsibilities of food business operators, quality terms for traditional products, internal and international food trade/marketing issues, as well as other matters of importance for food and feed quality and safety (rules important for the protection of life and health of people, of environment, of consumers); several inspection related provisions; also Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points or HACCP issues).
The provisions pf this Law will apply to all stages of production, processing and transport of food and feed. As defined by this Law, food and foodstuff according to its origin is divided into food of animal origin; and food of plant origin. Basic aims of this Law are to ensure effective food safety principles, taking into account the protection of human and animal health and well-being, the protection of plant health and of the environment; to ensure the free movement of food and feed produced and marketed in accordance with the general principles and requirements of this Law and in compliance with international standards to be observed.
This text is divided into XII Chapters and 65 articles, including the offences and consequential penalties (see Chapter XI).
