Abstract
This Regulation determines the rules and procedures as regards the implementation of direct payment schemes for climate-friendly and environment-friendly agricultural practices (green direct payments); also for young farmers; small farmers; coupled support; special crop payment (cotton); transitional or previously accorded national aid schemes.
The effective right to request and obtain such green direct payments shall be granted to farmers entitled to the Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS) payment entitlements, also in relation with the provisions of the Regulation (EU) No 1307/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 December 2013 establishing rules for direct payments to farmers under support schemes under the common agricultural policy.
The Annex is also part of this publication (technical issues-list of crops; list of nitrogen-fixing crops; conversion coefficients and weightings; and minimum quantities of certain types of vegetables and fruit crops subject to support).
Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on the day of its publication in the Official Gazette.
