Abstract
This Law establishes the cooperation between the Union, the States, the Federal District and the municipalities on administrative proceedings related to the protection of natural heritage, the environment, provisions against pollution and the preservation of forests, fauna and flora and amending several articles of the Environmental Policy Act. Amendments deal with norms to be satisfied between Government, Federal States, Districts and Municipalities on administrative procedures and actions related to natural heritage and environmental protection as well as fighting against any illegal pollution activity, forest, flora and fauna preservation. This Law aims at giving powers to the decentralized offices in order to let them manage and protect the local ecosystems and habitats. It aims also at guaranteeing the balanced socio-economic development with special attention to environmental protection and human, animal and ecosystem harmonization.
