Abstract
This Law determines legal and organizational grounds of pedigree stockbreeding and is aimed at obtaining qualitative pedigree stock and pedigree animal products and materials. National and regional pedigree stockbreeding programs shall be validated by the Council of Ministers and local government with a view of rational utilization of pedigree stock and pedigree animal products and conservation of genetic fund of pedigree rare and small numbered breed. State programs shall cover five-year periods. Pedigree stockbreeding, selection and genetic engineering shall be performed by selection and crossbred centres, selection and genetic centres, and genetic breeding enterprises that shall have the status of legal persons. Subjects of pedigree stockbreeding activity shall be subject to compulsory state registration within state information system. State register of pedigree stock and pedigree stockbreeding activity shall be instituted for keeping information related to marking of pedigree stock, origin of pedigree herd, transfer and loss of pedigree stock and pedigree herds. State register of pedigree stock and pedigree herd shall be also responsible for issuance of pedigree certificates.
