Introductory Law relating to the Animal Protection and Disease Law (Cantonal Animal Protection and Animal Disease Law).

The present Law ensures the correct and efficient enforcement of the Federal Animal Protection Act of 16 December 2005 and the Federal Animal Disease Act of 1 July 1966. In particular, the purpose of the Law is to protect the health of both human beings and animals, as well as to preserve the dignity of animals. Part 2 lists the competent organs of the Canton responsible for the enforcement of the afore-mentioned Acts.
