Abstract
These Measures are developed in accordance with the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and the regulation on its implementation and other applicable laws and regulations for the purposes of strengthening and regulating the supervisory inspection of food production and trade activities, urging food producers and traders to fulfill their primary responsibilities, and guaranteeing food safety.
The Measures consist of 7 Chapters: General provisions; Supervision and inspection powers; Supervision and inspection key points; Supervision and inspection procedures; Supervision and administration; Legal liabilities; Supplementary provisions.
These Measures shall apply to the supervisory inspection of the compliance of food (including food addictive) producers and traders with food safety laws, regulations, and rules, and food safety standards, among others, by market regulatory departments. The supervisory inspection shall be carried out under the principles of exercising jurisdiction, risk management, legal procedures, impartiality and openness.
