Measures of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for the Guarantee Deposits for the Restoration and Management of the Geological Environment of Mines.

These Measures are enacted to regulate the collection, use and management of the guarantee deposits for the restoration and control of the geological environment of mines, and to protect the geological environment of mines. The Regulations consist of 25 Articles.
The mining right holders engaged in mining mineral resources in the administrative area of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region shall strictly implement the guarantee deposit system for mine geological environment control, fulfill the responsibility for mine geological environment control according to law. The deposit can only be used for monitoring, restoring and controlling mine geological disasters and damaged mine geological environment caused by mineral exploitation and for reclamation of mine land.
The mining right holder or the mining right applicant shall submit the Mine Geological Environment Protection and Restoration and Land Reclamation Plan and sign the Mine Geological Environment Governance Responsibility Letter with the land and resources authority, and make the deposit. If a deposit has been made according to law, no land reclamation fee shall be paid.
