Abstract
These Regulations, concerning air quality, provide for implementing the Directive (EC) 2016/2284 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and focus on the reduction of emissions of certain air pollutants and on the reduction of air pollution, in order to reduce significant negative impacts and risks to human health and the environment. These Regulations also provide for achieving European standards and objectives on ambient air quality, ecosystem conservation and biodiversity protection. Final provisions include penalties, and measures for strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation with third countries and coordination with relevant international organisations, by exchanging information on technical and scientific research and development, in order to improve the basis for facilitating emission reductions.
