Abstract
An Act to regulate the marketing of foodstuff, tobacco products, cosmetics and other articles of daily use in the Federal Republic of Germany. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "foodstuff", "additives", "tobacco products", "cosmetics", "articles of daily use", "consumer", etc. The Act consists of 61 articles divided into 9 Parts: Definitions (I); Marketing of foodstuff (II). This Part deals in particular with hygienic provisions, authorization of additives, use of pesticides, labelling, fraud and adulteration; Marketing of tobacco products (III) - Ban on advertising; Marketing of cosmetics (IV); Marketing of articles of daily use (V); General provisions (VI); Monitoring of foodstuff (VII); Import and export (VIII); Penalties (IX).
