Abstract
Article 1 of the present Act establishes that a charge (waste water charge) shall be paid for discharging waste water into a water within the meaning of article 1 of the Federal Water Act . The charge shall be levied by the Federal Länder. The waste water charge shall depend upon the noxiousness of the waste water, which shall be determined on the basis of the oxidizable substances. The text consists of 18 articles divided into 5 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Determination of noxiousness (II); Liability to pay charges (III); Establishment, levying and use of waste water charges (IV); Concluding provisions (V). One Annex is enclosed. In the latest version of this Act, articles 5 and 17 are deleted.
